I'm a University of Chicago graduate in Economics and Cinema, and the founder of Figmento Designs. I started Figmento because I kept noticing the same thing: the businesses that make a neighborhood feel like home — the corner restaurant, the family plumber, the tailor who's been there thirty years — almost never have a website that matches the quality of what they do in person.
Figmento Designs exists to fix that. I build beautiful, handcrafted websites and search engine optimization for small businesses in traditional industries. Every site is designed to be fast, legible, and easy for real customers to use — whether they're finding you on Google, pulling up your menu at a red light, or deciding which company to call on a Sunday night.
My background in cinema shaped how I think about a homepage: the first five seconds should feel like the opening of a good film — confident, specific, and unmistakably yours. My background in economics shaped how I think about value: a website should pay for itself, and I'll happily tell you how it will.
